One of the biggest challenges for Slidemedia was the architectural features of the space. The lens used in this case were 1.2 and the throw distance was 38 metres. The other two side projectors were located on the first gallery, where the images were conceived to create an immersive sensation. The central projector was located in the middle of the auditorium, more specifically in a cabin fitted out for this purpose, with a 2.0 optical lens and a throw distance of 41 metres. "The truth is that the low noise passed the test of such a highly demanding and discerning public as an opera audience".
For this reason Slidemedia chose the laser phosphor models from the Christie HS Series, which have a noise level of just 39 db. Of course, an indispensable prerequisite for the projectors was that they would produce no noise, given that silence is absolutely essential in this type of event. Between the side and front walls, the surface area covered was around 70 by 12 metres.
The blending projection covered the whole of the back wall of the auditorium (behind the orchestra and choir) as well as part of the side walls and boxes, which the Slidemedia team had to mask in order not to dazzle the audience. "So we immediately got down to work and started developing a projection that would match the 90 minutes or so the composition lasts." When you launch the column, a transition is called. Click on the column gear, then, set a transition : Now you can create cross fade transition between your column. First you have to activate the edit mode by clicking on the "edit mode" button at the bottom left corner : But Millumin allow you to have more fluid ones. The transition between your media is quite rough by default. You can scroll through your column by pushing SPACE on your keyboard.
You can add multiple media at the same time to the dashboard. If you launch a column, it will play its media in the canvas If you need, you can create a new layer by pushing "CMD+L" on your keyboard, or with the big "+" button on the button left of Millumin : Your browser does not support the video tag.
